GRAYS HARBOR COMMUNITY EVENT
Grays Harbor natives are collaborating to host a community event combining entertainment & activities with expert talks to raise awareness on the sensitive global epidemic of child sex trafficking.
Join us on Saturday, September 30th from 6:30 - 10 PM at the 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam, WA. All ages and local communities are welcome to attend.
Dr. Cyndi Romine, the founder of Called To Rescue, will share current statistics, dispel some urban myths, and teach prevention techniques surrounding child sex trafficking. For over 30 years, their foundation has successfully assisted in rescuing children who are missing, abused or have been sex trafficked internationally.
Special guest performer, Ericka Corban, recently featured on The Voice, will share her intimate story as a musician, wife & mother, and how she recently helped a teenage girl leave an unhealthy living situation. Hear first hand the circumstances that inspired her to open her home to this girl and to write a song called Beautiful Dreamer.
This special evening of impact will also include performances by Wil Russoul, Jackie Mitchell, and Karl Penn, along with additional activities, food, beverages, and beer & wine provided by Mill 109 Restaurant & Puband Hoquiam Brewing Co., Inc.
The post-event celebration will continue with more live music, food, and beverages at Hoquiam Brewing Company from 10 PM - 12 AM.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-17, and free for children ages 5 and under.
*Disclaimer: This event is open to all ages but we do warn that the topics being discussed are mature content regarding child abuse, homelessness, and sex trafficking. We will not be showing photos or video, however, we do our best to cater to all ages during this event.
